The Every Body Is Beautiful Project

One Woman Can Make A Difference, But Together We Can Rock the World

Social entrepreneurship is here, and we are so, so thankful.

Today, more and more for-profit companies are consciously and intentionally supporting non-profit causes they believe in.

How beautiful.

We at Circles of Change are blessed to be able to partner with a long list of businesses that believe in supporting our cause, Ophelia’s Place.

This Sunday’s “Idols & Icons” concert at The Palace Theatre in Syracuse, NY, presented by Red Shoes Black Bag Productions, is a wonderful example of what we’re talking about.

“Joanna and I founded Red Shoes Black Bag Productions to create events spotlighting the talented performers in our area, but we are very proud of the fact that our larger shows always have a charity component. Partnering with different local organizations allows us to give back to our community in a really fun way.

Most women – including the two of us – have struggled with body image issues and disordered eating at some point in their life. With the pressure from society and the media to meet a narrow expectation of “beauty,” we think resources like Ophelia’s Place are more important than ever. We love the mission of Ophelia’s Place and jumped at the chance to partner with them.
